Olivia Munn recently sat down with makeup guru and Yahoo Beauty Editor in Chief Bobbi Brown to talk beauty, fitness and diet for Yahoo!. When asked about her red carpet look, Olivia confessed that she still needed to “work on my face”, claiming that people have said she looks high in photos, which she blames on trying to look cool. As for sharing beauty tips, there’s no earth-shattering revelations. Wash your face, exfoliate “morning and night” and use sunscreen. Pretty common sense stuff. She says that if she doesn’t have to apply eyelash extensions (because of her trichotillomania, which causes her to pull her eyelashes out…ouch), it only takes her 15 minutes to apply her makeup. Takes me 5. Just saying.

She told Bobbi that she was glad her boyfriend, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers, who has been giving her the “discount double check” for quite a while isn’t “precious” like those Hollywood boys. His eating habits, however, have caused her to re-evaluate some of her food choices. Olivia said, “He eats what he wants, but he does focus more on eating healthy — which has been a little bit of a bummer for me sometimes. [I sometimes ask him], ‘Should we order in pizza?’ He’s like: ‘I think I’m just going to do a salad.’ I’m like: ‘Yeah, me too. That’s what I want. I don’t want a pizza.'” Aaron can probably have a slice or two, since his team is out of the running for a Super Bowl victory this season.

As for her preferred workout, she eschews the treadmill, confessing that, “If there was a fire, I wouldn’t run.” She also isn’t a fan of spinning and hates yoga. She enjoys tae kwon do (which she got a black belt in at the age of 14) and added, “I prefer to do things where it doesn’t feel like a workout.”

The 35-year-old actress said that her latest film role, playing a cop in Ride Along 2, was “the funniest time of my life”, as she got to hang out with Kevin Hart and Ice Cube (who she refers to as “Mr. Cube”.)

When asked about women comparing themselves to her, Olivia said, “I learned a long time ago when I was little, being multi ethnic and moving around a lot, I was always the new girl and never felt pretty enough.” Adding, “I wasn’t the ugly duckling either.” She went on to say, “I had this epiphany in eighth grade, there’s always going to be someone smarter, prettier, richer, taller, thinner, so you might as well just try to make the best of what you have.” This coming from a woman who has made a career from being “pretty, smart and funny”. I’ll give her pretty. She’s got a cute boyfriend too – but mine orders pizza for us every weekend, so in that case, I win! You can check out the whole interview below:
